In the world of Alzheimer’s patients, the world can appear twisted. Dementia pains are eating away at the memories, the brain forgets more, and the cerebellum shrinks. About ⅓ of elderly people are likely to get this incurable disease. Long Way to Remember is a 2D narrative game in which players explore old recollections from the perspective of an Alzheimer patient in order to draw attention to this underrepresented group. You will walk through a number of familiar and unfamiliar spaces, experience loops of recognition and oblivion in this game, and try to seek out your own identification through different trials, finding the evidence from words, illustrations, audios and settings. Studies show that accompanying the elderly can reduce the risk of having this disease to some extent. Take the time to pay attention to the elderly around you.
