Vinny Roca is an artist and game maker who crafts strange encounters with labor through the medium of digital games and material experimentation with programming, 3D modeling, animation, sound, and fabrication. His most recent work, Slot Waste, an experimental video game that articulates a lengthy, absurdist Rube Goldberg-like production process, won Best Student Game at the Independent Game Festival. Roca’s game works have been exhibited internationally, including shows at the Akbank Sanat in Istanbul, Turkey and his most recent solo show at Gameplayarts in Los Angeles, California. He is currently an MFA candidate at the University of California, Los Angeles.

The Lab will have a few workstations with ZBrush already installed, and USB Wacom drawing tablets to use. If you plan on using your own computer, please make sure to install ZBrush before the workshop!
