Release is an experimental virtual reality stop motion project that allows a user to enter a being from another dimension’s body for the price of helping them collect worms to feed their family. The game explores the limits of 2D image sequences in a 3D space, and attempts to combine the two by using photogrammetry to import handmade, textured items, into the virtual space.
