WHEN

1:00pm-4:00pm

LOCATION

Located at Broad Art Center at the UCLA Game Lab room 3252

Somewhere between music production software and computer games lies the realm of the music engine. Combining the game engine’s penchant for interactive systems and simulation with the sensibility of an instrument designer, the music engine offers a set of rules that can be performed.

For our next Meet ‘Em Up, you’re invited to join a music engine ensemble (MEE). John Brumley will bring some instruments. You’ll learn how to play them, change the sounds to make them your own, and even how to dismantle and modify them. You can form a group of like minded music engineers or develop a solo project. After some rehearsal time, we’ll have a small, informal concert.
