Quetiapine is an experimental 2D/3D simulation exploring trauma and memory, within the mind of the medicated mentally ill. Based on Ibarra’s experience seeking mental health care for complex trauma, the work meditates on the tenuous relationship the ill have with their medical treatment. Players reenact abstractions of personal memory mediated by an experimental noise soundtrack (composed by Luka Fisher) that attempts to be a synthesization of “quetiapine” itself, an atypical antipsychotic medication sold under the brand name Seroquel.
