As Cupertino rapidly becomes known as “the city where Apple is”, longtime residents must work together to stay in the city they call home. Play as Marvin & Cathy Grey, Pho Queen, Tom’s Clockshop or the Lee Family and attempt to pay for life expenses and maintain happiness as the city around you becomes overrun with Apple’s influence. In “Cupertino” all four players play against the Apple deck, which changes the Cupertino board and increases expenses while decreasing the happiness of its residents. In the first round, players draw from their deck and deal with life events that affect their happiness meter and money, while planning for random effects and changes that Apple’s turn may bring. All four players must work together and play collaboratively if they are to make it through their decks without failing to make a payment or reaching empty on their happiness meter.
