Clay Box is a computer-based role playing game in which players serve as a monitoring agent for the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency. As a soldier and an auxiliary police, duties at the monitoring room consist of reporting police related news reports and managing multiple social media accounts for the police. Transcribe and report police news to superiors and selected reporters, and design amiable social media content related to the police. Based on real-life experiences gathered from 2014 to 2016, Clay Box explores issues still relevant today such as surveillance, design ethics, institutional use of social media and state of authority in the digital era.
