A unique take on the concept of a game jam, Eat, Play, Love took place over three days with one goal: to create a fully playable communal dinner. Opening with a presentation by the Game Lab’s own Eddo Stern on food games, each team was tasked with creating a game that used cooking (and eating) as a central mechanic of play. Inspired by diverse intersections with food culture; such as  drinking games, Molecular gastronomy, the Italian Futurists’ dinners, and the slow and DIY food movements, these games investigate ways in which the rituals of food and gaming intertwine.
